For the events, which do not lie close to the limb, we will gather the necessary coronal plasma parameters from the synoptic MHD model¹ of Predictive Sciences, Inc. (PSI). Their MHD Around a Sphere (MAS) model has been extensively validated², and its results are freely available for download (in Hierarchical Data Format), for both the coronal and heliospheric domains³. Figure 1F shows as an example an equatorial cut of radial velocity out to 30 R_ʘ, for a particular Carrington rotation. Similar 3D maps of heliospheric plasma model properties are also readily available, extending beyond 2 AU. We will develop an interface for reading and interpolating the coronal PSI maps in Work Package 2. An interface for the heliospheric maps is already available in EPREM.
